My favourite moment at MAC so far! I’ll remember it forever.

Chief Executive & Artistic Director, Midlands Arts Centre

My kids (12 and 8) and I all agreed — this is the best piece of theatre we’ve ever seen. A proper treat for everyone in our family. So special being surrounded by the action and being able to watch everyone else’s reactions around the big round table — they were all spellbound from start to finish, as were we!

Audience Comment

I’ve never experienced anything like it! Absolutely incredible! Stunning work by everyone involved. Watching the Moon landing on TV in 1969 was incredible, but I think this was even better! (And I didn’t have to stay up so late either!)

Audience Comment

This is exactly what immersive theatre should be. It was a real feast for the eyes and for the stomach. I especially loved planting the flag in my chocolate Moon rock cake. Genius.

In space, no one can hear your tummy rumble.

Little Earthquake teamed up with gastronomartist Kaye Winwood to create a delectable dining experience that was truly out of this world.

Rocket Fuel was an edible adventure in which our guests joined us for an 8-course immersive dining experience, taking them to the Moon and back again without ever needing to leave the comfort of their seats.

Guided by our trusty Flight Director, the performance compressed the Apollo 11 mission into a single spectacular 90-minute event — combining surround sound, projection, live cameras, puppetry and performers.

At each stage of the astronauts’ journey, our guests were treated to amazing things to eat and drink, all inspired by Neil Armstrong’s actual in-flight meal plan and by the dramatic events of the mission itself.

Rocket Fuel was the centrepiece of MoonFest, Little Earthquake’s 9-day interdisciplinary arts festival celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing.
